100 Day Sober Challenge = Complete.

I’m here.

And even though it’s been a surprisingly lackluster sort of a day,

complete with a morning wake-up to

 this,

followed by long minutes

of this,

and an unforgivable cup

of this

(seriously, the worst cup of coffee I have ever had was today of all days),

I am still

happy.

And I’m still

proud.

And even though I don’t feel like

dancing,

or

cheering,

I still feel pretty

And better than I’ve felt

In a long, long, long, long time.

Day 100, I made it.

p.p.s. Thank you to my (dear, amazing, incredible, how-lucky-can-a-woman-get?!) hubs, to my family, to my friends (Little Ms. Jones, AnneMillie, LoriFeelingBettyRobert, Prim, Wanting Something BetterA Hangover Free Life, Ella, Wendy, and Dinah), my therapist, and to Belle (for cheering this fucking party on). You have all been true gifts to me with your continued support and general awesomeness. Love to all of you.*

  1. 100 days! That’s a very cool place to be. Shitty coffee, and all. Congratulations!

  2. well, what a very splendid way to start my day! 5.47 am here and it’s dark and drizzly outside but this post makes me feel like this:

and so you should be proud, you know. I can tell you that those first 100 days are one of the most difficult things I ever did in my life. top three, I would say. and I am quite old now so have been through some shit, I can tell you. and having done the 100 days also gives me a frame of reference for whatever challenge I face now… I have a necklace I wear every day which I bought as my 100 day reward and I touch it often at a difficult moment to tell myself, if you got through that you can get through this. I’ve blogged about how those 100 days are my touchstone – something I can use to test the metal of any other course of behaviour, because they are an example of the finest behaviour of which I am capable. post here – https://takinganewpath.wordpress.com/2015/06/06/warp-speed-mr-sulu-part-2/

anyway that is all about ME and your 100 days is about YOU! many many congratulations. it is always a gift to receive and read one of your posts. I look forward to seeing your onward journey! all the very best, Prim xx

  6. I was surprised too at how uneventful 100 felt! It deserves glitter*`~*’*’`~* because 100 days was sooo elusive for sooooo long. I’m at day 135 and the calm feels so good! The best cups of coffee are coming. And when I get up to the cities we will celebrate together! Lori
